This Home Is a Precise Replica of the Apollo Lunar Landing Module

When it comes to interesting homes and quality design, this one I think, takes quite a high spot on the list. The time, effort and skill required to produce something like this is simply beyond me. I’m thoroughly impressed with this Lunar Module home.

In the latest video from Architectural Digest, they showcase a home which is replica of the Apollo Lunar Module. The designer and builder Kurt Hughes, is a prolific builder who has been working on projects for most of his life. This latest project comes inspired by tiny homes and the need to fix some of the issues related to those types of properties. Hughes describes how, many tiny homes have structural issues and also tend to weigh a lot. These were some of the problems he has seemingly addressed in his working proof of concept.

What’s really surprising is how spacious the interior of the home looks. There seems to be enough space for a small number of people. Not to mention the fact that the home looks ridiculously cool to me.

Hughes also mentions that the connection to the Apollo mission, was that the astronauts trained around 50 miles downstream from where his Lunar Module home is located.
